Welcome to the Ross University School of Medicine Scholarship
Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) was founded in 1978. Its mission is to prepare highly dedicated students to become effective, successful physicians. RUSM students begin their medical education journey at the school’s campus in the West Indies. Students complete a rigorous basic science curriculum, supported by cutting-edge instructional technology, including an anatomy and medical imaging laboratory and a simulation center where students begin to develop clinical skills. Students complete their medical education by taking core and elective clinical rotations in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Ross University School of Medicine Scholarship is part of the Empower Scholarship Fund, which has been established to keep education within reach by providing financial support in the form of scholarships to its students. The Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit organization that operates in concert with, but as a separate entity from the institutions.
Some students may struggle to find the necessary funds to advance their education. The Scholarship Fund strives to be part of the solution to bridge this financial gap by assisting students in defraying the cost of attending school.
Be sure to visit the website when the scholarship application period begins on December 1st. The open application period closes on February 15th. Applications will be processed and reviewed by an independent committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-May, after receiving approval from the board of directors. Scholarships will be disbursed at the beginning of the academic year.
