Thanks for joining us in supporting student success through scholarships!  Events like this enable us to provide funding for students pursing careers in healthcare and related professions.

We are proud to have participants joining us from 31 different states and two countries this year and are asking everyone to take a moment and snap a photo wearing your race day shirt in a location that represents the area of the country you are located.  If you are running with friends, even better!  Be sure to include them.

We'll be awarding a prize to the participant that sends the best photo!

Empower Scholarship Recipients

Since 2016 the Empower Scholarship Fund has awarded 2,460 scholarships totaling more than $4.6M to support students.  Donations from generous individuals and corporate sponsors make these awards possible.

"This award has given me more zeal and motivation to keep pushing harder and not give up on my dreams.  I developed a passion for nursing when my mum was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer.  I lost her a year after her diagnosis.  When she died, I said to myself that the only way I could keep her memory alive was to become a nurse so I could be a support for the people living with cancer and their families.  Thank you for pushing me a step further toward my dream and for helping me stay motivated to not give up!"

"A big thank you to the Empower Scholarship Fund.  You have just given me a boost and the opportunity to make one more small step forward, and in situations like mine, is is all that I could have asked for.  As a serving Naval personnel in its health sector, I unquestionably believe there is a need for more subject matter expertise to influence and help build policies and better healthcare services for our nation's heros, veteran and families.  I hope to continue as a healthcare administrator to improve and effect efficient procedures and services."
