Spring 2020 Empower Scholars

The journey of medical school is tough and it requires quite a bit of perseverance and dedication.  I want to be a physician and an educator who can collaborate with the patients to find their healing.  Without a doubt, this scholarship will be another important piece of the puzzle in my journey of medicine and help me move one step closer to my goals.  Thank you so much for this generous award.

I am honored to be one of the recipients of the Dr. Karl Stockhausen Memorial Scholarship.  I am humbled by the generosity and recognition in my efforts to reach my educational goals.  I am thankful to continue my involvement as a volunteer on a local and global scale while pursuing medical school and I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the financial support.  Thank you for contributing to my overall medical school success through this scholarship.

I'd like to thank Dr. Karl Stockhausen for setting an example for all students at AUC and continuously reminding us of our responsibility to serve others as future physicians.  I greatly appreciate everyone who had a role in helping me receive this award.  This provides me with huge motivation to keep moving forward and to one day achieve my goal of being a physician and for that I can not thank you enough!

The Empower Scholarship Fund provides monetary support in a very expensive time in my life.  I am fresh out of college with no real opportunity to save and prepare for the burden of debt medical school brings.  This is like a life raft in the ocean.  The award also encourages me to push hard and make those who chose me proud.  I want to become the best physician I can not only for my future patients, but also for myself, my colleagues, and those who have encouraged me along the way.

This scholarship gives me the momentum to continue to strive for greatness as I pursue my career in becoming an extraordinary nurse!  I am grateful to those who saw value in me and ultimately chose me as a recipient for this award.  This is only the beginning of my journey, and I thank everyone involved in the assistance this will have in financing my Bachelors of Nursing degree.

This is truly an unexpected blessing and I am sincerely grateful for your generosity.  I am a full-time employee, husband and father.  Due to the recent current events I am the lone provider in my household and things are tight on a normal basis, but with my wife out of work things are challenging.  This scholarship money could not have come at a better time, and I cannot express how beneficial this contribution is to me, my career and my family's future.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and my family thanks you as well.

I want to thank the family that provided me with the John Rosselli Memorial Scholarship.  I am very grateful to receive such an award!  This comes at a perfect time because I got laid off from my job due to the Corona virus outbreak.  With this scholarship, I can continue becoming the nurse I want to be and pursue a lifestyle of inspiring and helping others.

I am thankful to Ascend Learning for their financial support and interest in my educational pursuit.  I am a third-year medical student and will graduate in the summer of 2022.  Thanks to your kind gift I am one step closer to this milestone.  The impact of this award is not limited to my studies, but it also influences my long-term vision for community advancement.  Your generosity has inspired me to assist others and give back to the community.  I am committed to helping others in achieving their goals just as you have helped me in achieving mine.

Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.  I would like to express my gratitude for the financial support of this scholarship.  It is because of your generosity that I am able to focus on my studies.  I am a third-year medical student and chose this field to serve in medically underserved communities.  On behalf of all the students working to overcome financial difficulties to achieve their dreams, I would like to thank you for all that you are doing.

I am currently a third-year medical student at Ross University School of Medicine participating in clinical rotations at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  Your gracious donation will help cover costs and provide me the resources necessary to continue to excel in my medical studies.  This award lessens the grueling financial burden that comes with graduate medical education and will better allow my focus to be shifted to my studies.  I am sincerely grateful for your support in my journey to becoming the best physician that I can be.

First, I'd like to thank my family and friends for their continued and unrelenting support through my journey of medicine - the road has been challenging and one that would be insurmountable alone.  As an Empower Scholarship recipient, I am humbled at the opportunity to pursue medicine and encouraged to apply my skills and knowledge to empower my community.  I am grateful for this opportunity and will continue to strive towards achieving excellence both in my medical education and for my future patients.

I'm extremely grateful for this scholarship for allowing me to further my education as a future doctor of veterinary medicine.  

I am so honored to be receiving the Dr. Michael Zareski Memorial Scholarship!  My number one goal is to become an efficient and reliable veterinarian, whom clients can trust with their beloved animals.  This award is so much more than just a monetary gift.  After learning about Dr. Mike I feel like I knew him personally.  He clearly was passionate about veterinary medicine and loved by many.  He is an inspiration to me to become the best and most compassionate vet I can be.
